Mr. Charles the IV showed off his amazing smile and cake destroying skills! He loves airplanes, Donald Duck, and vanilla cake. 😉
No detail was left undone for his adorable Donald Duck outfit made by his grandmother. Thank you, B Family, for choosing me to capture Charlie’s first birthday!

Little Edwin is up on the blog again!! I had to the pleasure of meeting his family a few months ago for their own family photos in addition to E’s 3 month photos. He has changed so much in just a few short months! When I first met him, he looked like a mini me of his daddy! Now I’m starting to see more and more of Nicholette in him. Our theme for this session was based around the mustache and “Little Man is Turning One”. I based the balloons, backdrops, banner, cake, and cake topper based on a party invitation and a picture of the smash cake outfit that E’s mom shared with me a few weeks ahead of time. When I saw the outfit, my first thought was, “Gosh, I hope he’s got the thighs for that diaper cover!” and boy did he! Although our original plans for an outdoor smash cake session got changed because of the unusually freezing cold weather, I think we did pretty good on our indoor backup plan! Little E killed his smash cake session. He’s one of the few babies that would have eaten the whole thing if we had let him. Something about baby boys, they love to dig right into a beautiful cake and make a mess. My experience with the girls are completely opposite! Enjoy some of my favorites from this session. Especially the last three, which were all taken within a few seconds of each other. I just love that little guy’s head tilt! He’s such a charmer. Watch out girls! 😉

What an amazing smash cake session! I had such a great time with Cam. His Aunt Meghan is one of my long time friends from college. She recently moved back to Orlando and I think she’s here to stay! (Especially since her brother, his wife, and their two boys are close by!) So… Happy Birthday, Cameron! Here are some images from his session. He’s such a ham! I’m really lovin’ the black and whites. It’s got such a comedic and old school vibe. I’m thinking Three Stooges/ I Love Lucy – classy and funny!
The seersucker diaper cover, bow tie, and hat came off Etsy. My heart melted when I saw a picture of the outfit. I’m such a sucker for seersucker anything! If you plan on ordering a birthday outfit from Etsy, plan early! Several items you will find are handmade and take a few days to weeks to create and ship to you. If you are in a bind, search for items that are RTS (Ready to Ship). Always message the seller to see if they can have them item to you in time or if there’s an option to add on USPS Priority Mail Shipping. You would be suprised at how accomodating Etsy sellers are! Well, there was my tip of the day! Thanks for reading my blog. I’ll be back blogging more this week. Especially since my last client said she found me through my blog! If you are interested in more information regarding first birthday portraits and smash cake sessions, please send me an e-mail at [email protected] . 🙂

Child Photographer Winter Park
Sharing some of my favorites from this birthday session! For Autumn’s 2nd birthday photos we went to Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park. It is one of my favorite locations in Central Florida. It’s provides such a rich backdrop for any session. I tweaked the birthday board for Autumn to incorporate more fun 2 year old facts with a dash of mickey ears. 🙂 I hope they look back on these photos and read her birthday board in the years to come. I think her “Pop Pickles” for popsicles is my favorite part. Don’t you wish you can just freeze time?!

I just loved this session. The location, weather, & lighting were perfect! It was so much fun meeting Rich & Thai’s extended family. Isn’t it funny how you can see so much similarities between siblings & parents?! It’s not just looks either, but their mannerisms! Hmm…I wonder if my family is the same way?!
I had such a fun time putting together the props for this special first birthday. I was excited to turn my thrift store find into a fabulous mint child’s chair! Nothing like a little elbow grease and TLC! I found a tutorial on DIY tassle garland on Pinterest for the balloon tassles. (Follow me on Pinterest!) The tutorial can be found on Linen, Lace, & Love’s blog. I just love how the mint chair and pink props brought out Lily’s outfit! So glad that Lynda & Todd were able to bring Lily to the sunshine state for her first birthday pictures. Grandma & grandpa were in heaven with both their granddaughters in tow! These girls will have so much fun growing up with a cousin so close in age! 🙂
Cheers~

Early morning blogging! Just a warning- this might be too much cuteness all at once. First birthdays are one of my favorite sessions. It’s been so much fun watching her grow and change over the past year. It’s been even more fun having Courtney as a friend to exchange advise & laugh with! It’s obvious that this girl is so special to so many people. My favorite phrase from the session, “Anything for my great granddaughter!”. Nothing like a special celebration to bring all your family & friends together. Thanks to all the family members for looking so fabulous for an early morning session. 🙂
Gorgeous feather headband by Sweet & Chic Bowtique.
Cheers!
